# Prohibited and restricted activities

> Business activities we cannot support, and activities that require additional review.

Most businesses can open an EMIDPAY account. Some activities cannot be supported because of legal and regulatory requirements and the rules of our banking and payment partners. Other activities can be supported, but require additional review and documents.

Every application is assessed individually. This list helps you understand how your business activity may affect your application. It does not guarantee that an application will be approved. The list may change when regulations or partner requirements change, and businesses not listed may still be declined.

## Activities we do not support

> * Financial institutions, payment or e-money services operating without the required licence
> * Money service businesses and currency exchange without the required licence
> * Lending, including payday loans
> * Unregistered account aggregation
> * Unregulated CFD or forex trading, binary options
> * Holding, receiving or transferring funds on behalf of your own customers or any third party, including nested or pass-through accounts. This applies to licensed financial institutions too.

## Activities that require additional review

> These businesses can open an account for their **own operational funds only**, for example fees, salaries and supplier payments. The account cannot be used to hold or move funds of their customers.
