# Who we work with

> Which companies and individuals can open an EMIDPAY account.

EMIDPAY accounts are designed for companies that need to receive and send payments for their own business. Before you apply, check that your company meets the requirements below.

## 🌍 Where your company is registered

We open accounts for companies registered in the countries listed on the [Country coverage](https://docs.emidpay.com/help/country-coverage) page.

## 📑 Legal form

> We may ask for additional documents, such as a partnership agreement, trust deed or constitutional documents, to confirm who owns and controls the entity.

## 👥 Directors and beneficial owners

During the application we verify the identity of a director or authorised representative and of every ultimate beneficial owner, typically anyone who owns or controls more than 25% of the company.

Where your directors and beneficial owners live, and their citizenship, are taken into account.

Your business activity must not be on our list of [prohibited activities](https://docs.emidpay.com/eligibility/prohibited-activities). Some activities are supported subject to additional review.

## 💳 Using the account
